School Direct Teacher Training

Pembury House is one of five schools working in partnership to deliver the School Direct Teacher Training Programme.

The Partnership is led by Gladesmore Community School and comprises a mixture of co-educational urban secondary, primary and nursery schools serving catchment areas in different contexts.

There are five schools currently in the partnership, each of which is co-educational, the other schools are:
East Barnet School: a secondary school with academy status, with pupils 11-18 years old
The Latymer School: a secondary grammar school, with pupils 11-18 years old
Earslmead Primary School: a primary school with pupils 3 -11 years old
Gladesmore Community School: the lead school in the partnership, with pupil’s 11-16.

As a partnership we provide a particular opportunity to experience a diverse and contrasting range of teaching and training experiences across a mixture of urban schools serving catchment areas in different contexts.

Training is carried out in a carefully structured and aspirational environment. You will develop the rigour, professional knowledge, understanding and skills necessary for creative, purposeful and challenging teaching and learning.
