Early Years Educator (Key Person)

Childcare Qualification LEVEL 3 (or above) ESSENTIAL

FULL TIME 36 hrs per week – TERM TIME ONLY

Salary: £24,003 - £27,584 (PRO RATA)

Pay Grade: Haringey SCALE 5 (spine point 12-15) 

Pembury House is a state-maintained Nursery School with a Children’s Centre on site. We are based in the heart of Tottenham, a richly diverse area in an exciting period of development, with great transport links.

This happy, well-established early years setting, graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, serves a vibrant and diverse community in Tottenham, North London. We provide joyful, inspiring and innovative early years education for 2 – 4-year olds, as well as offering a range of services to support families with young children. 

We believe that high quality nursery education can transform the lives of young children, and that children become curious, willing learners by immersing themselves in an inquiry-based programme full of meaningful experiences. Our inclusive environment has a strong nurturing, learning culture where everyone feels valued. 

We are looking for someone with a childcare qualification, at least 2 years’ experience and:

Childcare Qualification LEVEL 3 (or above) ESSENTIAL

  • Passion, energy and commitment to high quality early years education
  • The skills, knowledge and experience to support and extend the interests of 2 – 4 year olds
  • The ability to create a joyful and engaging learning environment
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Build positive, respectful warm relationships with children and parents
  • Work in partnership with parents to maximise children's well-being and learning
  • Provide excellent support to children to develop their communication skills

Please note: the post holder may be required to work across either of Pembury’s sites – with Over 3s or with 2 year olds.
